Yes, we know: you've been meaning to get that notebook out and start counting backwards from the last frost date, deciding on what you are planting and when.... But, you know, there has been a lot going on. You've got lambs coming, the ducks are being unruly again, the seed catalogs have been serving as coasters, you still have to fix the bathroom faucet, your immediate neighbor is clearcutting 30-acres of woods to put in solar arrays so you seem to be spending every night at city hall and, and ….. . Oh, wait..that's our story. But you probably have one too. Consider this the "no excuses" class. We'll get you planning NOW so you'll be ready THEN. Join us on the first day of Spring for some inspiration, take home some motivation and a copy of "Week by Week Vegetable Gardener's Handbook." Trust us, the plumbing repairs will wait.
Some pre-class homework: observe your garden area and know your sun direct and pattern. Think about and assess your drainage and BRING: a sample of your soil (jar or bag will do), 3 images of gardens you like (can be your own!) and be prepared to tell us your gardening goal.
$35 (included book) 13 plus (children free with adult) Pre-registration required.
Wendy Milne was practically born in a garden or, as she says, “my mother started me raising veggies as an infant.” Come find out (some of) what this beloved cluck! instructor knows.
