Yes, finally, it's back! You get to learn how to make your own kimchi!
Fermentation is connected to the origin of agriculture, alchemy, and the current movement toward localized, sustainable, and healthy communities.Fermentation empowers you to preserve your own vegetables the way our ancestors did - no electricity or heat canning required. And, it’s delicious!
The workshop is geared toward beginners and experienced fermenters who want to make a more consistent, quality kimchi or expand their understanding of the art of fermentation. Included in the fee are a glass jar and a custom ceramic weight made by Peter's wife - Providence artist Meredith Stern. This starter kit and the knowledge from the class gives you everything you need to ferment at home. Everyone leaves with a pint of kimchi they help make and the tools to make more!
