Hey y'all!  Have you ever wondered how to make butter? Have you ever wanted to impress a crowd of city folk by whipping out a jar of fresh, homemade butter, making them think you spent the whole day hunching over a churn? Then this is the class for you!

This class will show a modern way of making butter with FRESH LOCAL cream, and provide tips of the trade for making sure your butter is of the highest quality and has the longest shelf life. Then we will use the butter to make....a Guinness Honey butter..perfect on an Irish Soda Bread, Maitre d'Hotel Butter a compound butter that goes well with a variety of proteins and a Sage Brown Butter that pairs perfectly with pasta.

Anyone can make butter (kids included!), so come one, come all!!

$15, preregistration requested.  (kids up to 13 are free, but must be with an adult)

About your teachers:

Phillip C. Griffin a Johnson and wales graduate and an award winning chef more than 30 years experience in the kitchen.   He has worked for many local restaurants such as Addesso and Wards Public House.   Although now retired from the restaurant business he continues to exercise his passion by cooking for charity events and instructing others on the joys of cooking. Malinda A. Coletta is an award winning cook.  She holds a degree in Home Economics where she studied the science of food preparation and nutrition and is a Certified Professional Food Manager.  She is passionate about cooking and entertaining.
