Join photographer, chef and Fertile Undergrounder Diane Vatcher to learn the basics of canning your fall harvest.
 During this hand-on demonstration we’ll cover preventing food born illnesses through proper canning methods. We’ll discuss jar sealing, head space, hot packing, selecting processing times, sterilization of canning jars, maintaining color and flavor in canned foods, Identifying and handling spoiled canned foods and testing jar seals and proper storage. $10 adults (accompanied children up to age 12 free), pre-registration required
