Come to Compost! with The Compost Plant’s Leo Pollock

Come learn about the art and science of home composting!  What are browns?  What are greens? Whether you've tried composting at home before and need some help or whether you've been hesitant to begin and need some guidance, this is the workshop to get you started on the right track.  Composting reduces the amount of waste going to the landfill and provides a great amendment to soil in your garden.  This workshop will cover the composting basics: the do's and don'ts of what to compost in the City, maintaining your compost pile, identifying common compost problems, using compost in your garden. Leo is a URI Master Composter, a certified Compost Operator (in Vermont), and is launching a new commercial composting business called The Compost Plant. $10 adults (accompanied children up to age 12 free), pre-registration required
